The CBS Sunday Morning television program hosted by Charles Osgood referenced the Candeo online recovery program in their story this past Sunday morning November 16th.

The show mentions a sex addict named ‘Joe’ and later refers to his efforts to recover from his addiction. Here is a quote from the online article CBS posted about the story.
“And, ironically, the Internet – often a great temptation – may turn out to be the salvation for some. Instead of surfing for porn, “Joe” now uses his computer to get help.
He’s signed up for a new online program, which he visits multiple times a day. He read us one of his recent journal entries that shows his continuing struggle.
“Crap, I’m shaking right now. I feel so guilty and discouraged.”
Joe says despite set-backs, he’s making progress.“Now, my thought is, ‘No, I’m going to have a healthy relationship. I’m going to have a family where I can wake up in the morning and I can be the real me and not wonder, am I going to do pornography today or not?’”
The online program ‘Joe’ refers to is Candeo.

I have been an avid fan of the CBS Sunday Morning show for the entire 30 years. Nothing, not even sleeping in, would prevent me from turning on this outstanding program. I tell people that if I could watch only one program on T.V. it would CBS Sunday Morning!
My concern lately is that some elements of the show appear more like the weekly morning shows. One example is featuring Rock Bands as well as some rather mundane material that does not have the higher quality of subject matter and presentation. I prefer the emphasis on more serious art and music presentations.
In the past, I would remain “glued” to the program until the very end. Now, I find myself wandering in my interest level to reading the paper, or walking away to do something else until the next sequence comes on.
I will remain, however, a constant member of the watching/listening audience because most of the show’s content is still very good.
Sincerly,
Robert (Bob) Uthe
